Better IPTV Privacy Policy

Overview

Better IPTV is an IPTV player from Better Things for user-provided Xtream Codes accounts and M3U playlist URLs. Better IPTV does not provide television channels, playlists, subscriptions, or media content.

Information Stored By The App

The app stores account names, playlist URLs, server URLs, selected account IDs, hidden categories, recent channels, settings, and cached channel or program guide data on your device. Xtream Codes passwords are stored using platform credential storage where supported.

Network Requests

When you add an IPTV account, refresh channels, load EPG data, or play a stream, the app connects directly to the IPTV server or playlist URL that you entered. Those providers may receive your IP address, account details, and playback requests according to their own policies.

What We Do Not Collect

We do not operate an account system for Better IPTV users.
We do not sell IPTV subscriptions or content access.
We do not sell personal information.
We do not use third-party advertising SDKs in the app.

Usage Counts And Error Reports

We use PostHog in the EU to count app launches and website visits, labelled by platform and environment. Each launch or website load uses a new random identifier. We do not create user profiles or send account labels, provider credentials, playlist or stream URLs, channel names or viewing history. We do not use analytics cookies, automatic interaction capture or session replay. Website analytics respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. PostHog discards client IP addresses.

Sentry in the EU receives error types, code stack traces and app version information so we can fix failures. We remove request data, user profiles, diagnostic text and interaction breadcrumbs from JavaScript reports. Screenshots, view recordings and session replay are disabled. Desktop native memory dumps are disabled.

Diagnostics And Support

If you contact support, only include the information needed to diagnose your issue. Do not send passwords, private playlist URLs, or provider credentials. If diagnostic logs are requested, remove private provider details before sharing them.

Children

Better IPTV is not designed for children. The app plays user-provided IPTV streams, and content availability depends entirely on the provider or playlist configured by the user.
